With the impending release of Injustice: Gods Among Us, a few infographics were released that give us some backgorund details on the most notable superheroes and villains in the game. Each information panel will also try to assemble their ultimate character, by combining the best parts of the entire category.
In the hero panel, we learn things like Green Arrow just being some dude that got his superhero status from learning how to operate a bow or Superman being “one of the most powerful” beings on Earth. We thought being superhuman automatically landed him the top spot, but apparently, he just shares that honor with a random selection of others. When assembling the perfect hero, we also only need Superman’s eyes, not his indestructible torso, for instance.
In the villains’ court, we learn some neat facts, such as Solomon Grundy not abiding by any human law and thus making him indestructible. Also, Harley Quinn was first featured in the Batman animated series. When combining elements, Catwoman doesn’t even lend a body part; she merely has her stealth trait to offer. Perhaps not all these choices make sense.
Finally, take a look at the launch trailer for the Mortal Kombat game with superheroes. In all fairness, this game is more refined than the Mortal reboot, though its engine is still noticeable in the finished product.
