It’s April Fools and the media is gobbling up fake announcements. It’s sad that some of these games are not meant to be, because who wouldn’t want to see a side-scrolling Neo Geo X version of Endless Space? Instead of looking back on that, we’ll take a look at a final batch of clips that didn’t get their dues this week.
After a year of delays, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is out and it’s surprisingly disappointing from our reviewing time so far. That’s why it deserves downloadable content; to boost the experience of sorts. With Siberian Strike, the shooter goes into colder lands for its violence. It will be a cold day in hell.
Another shooter that released recently is Warface and its trailer is a lot more cinematic. If you enjoy tanks, choppers and most of all, a shooter made by the creators of Crysis, then peel your eyes on this one. It recounts that for every matter there is an equal result for that body. It’s pretty existential.
A different or more quirky shooting experience can be found with Star Trek, where a video shows William Shatner sitting down with the Gorn for some gameplay. It’s about as strange as it sounds.
Finally, once a week, we get to see more Injustice: Gods Among Us gameplay. This time, a snarky Black Adam crushes the Green Arrow whilst the scenery once more suffers.
Writing isn’t always as easy as it seems. If you don’t believe me, just look at your recent history in your phone’s text messaging section and see how many fail to do so correctly. More so than just being a skill in need of constant perfection, it’s also something attached to a time factor. Often, news stories fall through the cracks, because every site is understaffed or not everyone pulls their weight when it comes to games that don’t come laced with Mountain Dew and Doritos. Well, this changes now. Here are this week’s videos that didn’t make the cut of regular news items, for whatever reason, starting with a shiny trailer for Planetside 2.
An Nvidia representative talks us through a PhysX integration within the free-to-play MMO first person shooter. He’s a bit condescending when it comes to not applying the technology, but it will definitely add some shininess to the game.
Fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us got its fair share of attention from us already, but it’s not stopping them from releasing more gameplay footage. Starlet Harley Quinn gives us her motives for participating in this clip.
Strange horror adventure Deadly Premonition is receiving a Director’s Cut and coming to Playstation 3, courtesy of Rising Star Games. Feel free to gaze at its weirdness in this promotional clip.
Finally, Duke Nukem 3D released a Megaton Edition on Steam this week, with updated visuals, achievements and additional content. You probably know the Duke already, but watch his gameplay trailer anyway.
In the latest series of gameplay videos from Injustice: Gods Among Us, two fighters go head to head in a rather spectacular way. Aquaman and Green Lantern unleash a superb move at the exact same time, with sparkly results. We thought it’d look good in gif format.
Of course, those of you interested can also check the entire clip here.
A new trailer for superhero fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us delves deeper into the story of Lex Luthor. This iconic character, as the counterpart to Superman, will fight for the opposition.
His motives are simple: Lex wants to win. To do so, he’ll don his gigantic robotic suit that can perform all kinds of feats, such as blasting shoulder rockets or even firing a satellite laser.
This DC Comics infused brawler inspired by Mortal Kombat will release next month.
Warner Bros released some more full gameplay matches for its upcoming superhero fighter titled Injustice: Gods Among Us. This DC Comics infusion of characters into the hands of the Mortal Kombat developers will release on April 16, 2013 for North America and 3 days later for Europe. Both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 will be supported, as well as a Wii U version.
Two clips show a few different heroes fighting in the foreground of some vivid locales. However, gameplay seems stiffer and bouncier with each release of new content. That said, you can witness Green Arrow take the fight to Hawkgirl in one round, while Superman fights Sinestro in the other clip. Be sure to look out for huge environmental twists, such as fighting giants joining the fight or immense blows being dealt in outer space.
