You know we discussed Deadfall Adventures in some footage before, because we wanted to wait for the game to actually release, so we could discuss the multiplayer, before reviewing it. It looks like this wait was in vain, as you can see in this multiplayer clip below.

Use of the Unreal Engine makes the world look vibrant and detailed, despite lesser character models, which accompany an asinine story, lifted from Indiana Jones. There is some competent shooting components, brought down by easy targets and lacking intelligence. Puzzles alters the dynamic, but their execution can become confusing, as do certain level sections. Despite having a clever, multi-faceted design for multiplayer sections, there is nothing going on there.

It’s a Halloween miracle; Ubisoft has dropped their Uplay Passport limiting content in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. It was previously used to access multiplayer, but also single player content and came in the form of a redeemable code upon purchase of a new copy. It will now be made available for anyone through a free download. Those that have already bought a Uplay Passport are advised to contact their respective Ubisoft support network.
Even better: Ubisoft has announced that “Uplay Passport will not be a part of any future Ubisoft games.” Furthermore, the company states that as games are blurring lines between what’s online and offline, “recognized that Passport is no longer the best approach for ensuring that all our customers have the best possible experience with all facets of our games.”
We agree. It’s as simple as that.
As Steam early access game Insurgency continues development, it launches two new game modes, Outpost and V.I.P. Escort. They should update automatically shortly.
In Outpost, players try to survive an onslaught of artificial opponents, which come in increasingly difficult waves, with no end. For the VIP mode, one team tries to escort a high-profile player to a designated area, while the opposition tries to assassinate the target.
These gameplay modes should bring some diversity to the dredge of similar modes the game has had so far, mostly concerned about control points. That should definitely make me interested in playing the game once more.

Battlefield 4 is in Open Beta on PC, through Origin, right now and I’m terrible at it. I mean, I am really awful, with a Kill/Death ratio of .32, which is probably a new low in any game. It’s just so huge and chaotic for my old eyes, but I still love it. That’s why I’m determined to keep playing and loving it, despite being a ticket sponge, losing it for the team.
I did, however, finally manage to not embarrass myself with one of the game’s most pleasing aesthetics. When you sneak up on someone, you can perform a takedown, which is standard stuff in itself, except in this case, you also take their dog tags in shame. It’s a mechanism also available in Battlefield 3, but it’s great to see its return. There will even be counter-knifings possible in Battlefield 4. By providing a cosmetic addition to a regular design, it’s possible to drive players to pursue trickier kills, just for the bragging rights. It’s a subtle way to enhance gameplay, which I really appreciate in a game.
Now, back to the fray to be terrible some more.
I recently fell ill; deliriously ill and not in the Beastie Boys manner. Having everything spin around you, when you’re tasked with playing 7 or so first-person shooters with head bobbing is rather disorienting. Therefore, many projects came to be on hold for a while, forcibly, which sucks if you’re a writer that people depend on for coverage.
One game fell clear of the feverish nightmare, however. It was Warface, the game I already enjoyed immensely before that. It seems it can do no wrong. You can read my full preview about why it’s so good here.
Anyway, even Warface sometimes couldn’t retain my sanity, despite the high dosage of self-medication applied, to feint some sort of healthy state. A lot of it went into semi-coherent gameplay commentaries. Some of them didn’t, as they made little sense. I’ve compiled those in a clip full of Warface action, for your schadenfreude enjoyment.
