Publisher Paradox Interactive has announced a sequel for their recent 4X game in the world of Ardania and dubbed it Warlock 2: The Exiled. It is currently headed towards release somewhere in the spring of 2014.
This strategy title in the 4X genre will continue its hex-based takeover of magical worlds at the hands of powerful wizards, who command a myriad of creatures to ransack cities. This continuation will hold over 150 spells to cast, along with a new roster of monsters. Additionally, multiplayer and cooperative play will be there from the start. A small introduction trailer comes with the announcement in true Paradox fashion.
Last year, Warlock was one of our favorite titles in its attempt to streamline the otherwise bulky 4X genre. Here, players need only to concern themselves with the woes of combat, while management takes a backseat.
After the recent release of Knights of Pen & Paper +1 Edition, publisher Paradox Interactive will now also upgrade indie game Teleglitch. This pixelated adventure will be reborn in summer as Teleglitch: Die More Edition and cost $12.99.
This game plunges players in a dark military base, where the only goal is survival. It mixes dungeon crawling roguelike elements with horror survival in a bunch of procedurally generated levels. Die once and the game is over, as permadeath is a thing in these types of titles. An announcement trailer comes with this news, as well as some screenshots and art, which we’ll post below.
People who already own the standard version of Teleglitch will receive this edition for free.
Publisher of strategy titles Paradox Interactive has given a release date for its flagship title, Europa Universalis IV, which will land on PC on August 13, 2013. More so, preorders have started already and if deep strategy is your thing, you’ve probably already taken out your wallet.
A regular version of the game costs $39.99, while the Digital Extreme version is priced at $44.99, but does come with a bunch of additions. A Star and Crescent adds Muslim events, a Music Pack adds 3 tracks and a Horsemen Unit Pack adds 12 cavalry models for Eastern nations.
Additionally, each preorder comes with 11 extra infantry skins, with more preorder incentives to be revealed later on. There’s also a short hype trailer.
Publisher Paradox Interactive has released a sizable content update for online action game The Showdown Effect for free. Swift PC owners can enjoy new maps, new characters and new costumes in this patch.
In particular, the expansion adds the characters Thelma Vaine and Dr. Johnny Bionic. Thelma is a British spy who can use a cloaking device as her unique power, while Johnny is a cyborg built for human destruction. Maps called South Eastwood and Fort Fiesta will join the line-up as well, which range from themes of spaghetti Westerns to monster movies. Finally, Redditors will get a kick out of the free content update, as characters can now be outfitted with Reddit gear, such as a Snoo alien hat or an upvote shirt. Get that Karma!

Roleplaying fanatics of both the digital kind as the traditional tabletop variety are certain to get a kick out of this meta feature of a roleplaying game, about a roleplaying game. To reiterate: Players take control of a dungeon master and their friends, playing an adventure on a table, which unfolds in reality behind them. You’ll have to manage quests, conversations and inner turmoil at the table, as roleplaying games often devolve into arguments and semantics. With a lovable pixelated style, it truly is one of the most endearing ideas we’ve ever seen. The game is currently a finalist in one of the Independent Games Festival categories. This version will release in the second quarter of 2013 for PC, but also on mobile devices. It’s screenshot time, hiya!
