Bigben Interactive has announced the release of a demo for racing game WRC 4. Console owners may expect to take the wheel on Playstation 3, PS Vita and Xbox 360 on October 16, 2013.
You’ll be able to drive around as Sébastien Ogier, who will use a Volkswagen Polo R WRC as a mode of transport, through the Sardinia rally. Sadly, no PC demo has been announced, despite the game also coming to the platform.
WRC 4 will release on October 25, 2013. It’s being produced by developer Milestone, who was previously also responsible for taking back the MotoGP series.
Not really certain why, but Valhalla Knights is currently free on the Playstation Store and that without the need for a Playstation Plus subscription. Please note that this is only the case for the US store, so be sure you redeem it with the proper account.
If you enjoy versatile roleplaying games with tons of customization, then this might be up your alley. It features active battles, played on a separate field, between a group of characters, though it’s also possible to halt time to cast spells and such. There’s also a multiplayer component, if you’re into that sort of thing.
This game is playable on both PSP and PS Vita and comes in at a 601MB download. You can get Valhalla Knights free here.
Publisher Beatshapers announced another Playstation Vita game in the works with Furmins. It will release for the handheld in October of 2013.
In Furmins, players try to bounce a few ball-like creatures to a basket somewhere in the level with the strategic placement of certain items. Throughout more than 100 levels, these fuzz balls will make their way through bumpers, conveyor belts and more. Naturally, this comes equipped with the touch capabilities of the Vita, for easy placement. Additionally, 12 Playstation Trophies can be acquired. We have a short trailer to demonstrate the game, as well as some screenshots and concept art.
Beatshapers is currently also working on a zombie runner for Vita called Zrun.
You may remember AeternoBlade from an earlier post depicting many screenshots. This side-scrolling 3DS game is currently looking for financial support in an IndieGogo campaign and it could use some help. They’ve recently added a 5-minute gameplay trailer that shows its traditional doujin side action.
It looks a bit bland in its deadpan setting, but the campaign page reveals some more exciting incentives. For instance, attacks can be customized with an entire skill tree of enhancements. Additionally, equipping relics will further change how combat performs. Don’t forget that the game also works with a time manipulation factor.
Developer Corecell is from Thailand, so you may want to forgive some shoddy writing parts on the page. A donation of $10 will grant you the game, with higher tiers offering some other digital or physical goods.
Their goal so far is set at $30,000, with stretch goals including ports to PS Vita, PS3, PC or even Wii U. I do hope that they adjust that first stretch goal, since I have no idea why it would help anyone contribute, seeing as no one has a connection to these characters yet.
You can pledge to AeternoBlade here.
You may remember online store Zavvi having a pretty huge sale where you could score a ton of game across all platforms. They’ve returned with a summer sale where you can do this once more. We’ll list some suggestions below, but there are many more games to be had:
Binary Domain (Xbox 360) – €7.49
Shinobi (3DS) – €9.99
Yakuza: Dead Souls (PS3) – €12.49
Bayonetta (PS3) – €12.49
Anarchy Reigns Limited Edition (PS3) – €13.75
Virtue’s Last Reward (Vita) – €18.75
There are a few cheap PC titles to grab as well, such as Syndicate and Bulletstorm, but we’re not sure how much you like Games for Windows Live. Other, smaller deals include last month’s Grid 2 for a little over €30. As an added incentive, Zavvi ships free to most countries and charges a ridiculously low fee anywhere else.
You can find the full list of deals here.
