Ubisoft pushed its official announcement of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag forward, after several leaks detailed most of the game anyway. The latest installment of its flagship stealth action game will release in Europe on October 31, 2013 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii U. A PC version is also in the works, but is not included within that same release date. More notably, the game will also appear on Playstation 4 “and other next generation platforms.”
Once again, players will be treated to a new protagonist by the name of Edward Kenway, a young Brit soldier that turns to piracy. Naval sections were introduced in the previous iteration, so it seems that this feature with its 50 navigable locations will build upon that element.
Sony will once more offer an hour of exclusive content for those that purchase the PS3 or PS4 version, after Assassin’s Creed III did the same. We received a whole mess of announcement art.
