Publisher Perfect World Entertainment, known for their collaboration with Star Trek Online and the recent Dungeons & Dragons game Neverwinter have announced Fortuna. This will move away from a client system and instead offer a massive multiplayer (MMO) experience through local browsers.
Gameplay will consist mostly of building simulation elements, such as in titles like Evony. Players take a small city and build it up to a powerful nation. In the process, they’ll be able to recruit historic figures like Jeanne D’Arc and team up with friends to create a powerful nation.
Fortuna will be free-to-play and will arrive on July 18, 2013 in Europe. Some screenshots come with the announcement, as well as a small gameplay trailer that should depict some of the action.
