Today, publisher Ubisoft announced that it has struck an agreement with gaming mega-corporation Hasbro to deliver tabletop games to current consoles and next generation platforms. These games include Monopoly, Risk, Trivial Pursuit and so on.
Hasbro is famous for owning a stake in just about any medium of childhood, from television shows to card games to movies. It holds licenses for Transformers, Magic: The Gathering, My Little Pony and most popular board games. Prior to their cooperation with Ubisoft, it was Electronic Arts that held the rights to publish these games, such as Monopoly Streets or Risk Factions. It seems that, aside from lawsuits, EA is also losing some other assets.
