Publisher Kalypso Media, mostly known for the Tropico series, has released multiple newses about their most prominent franchise. For one, players can expect a new building simulation to arrive with Tropico 5.
A short teaser comes with the announcement that once more shows El Presidente in all megalomaniac glory. Movie fans will understand the silent reference. Bully! That’s also a reference. Anyway, the game is set for release next year and will introduce multiple eras of gameplay, from the 19th century to modern times.
In more news, Kalypso Media has appointed Sherry Heller as Vice President for Sales in North America and Asia. She comes over from defunct company THQ, where she took care of the ValuSoft budget line of games, which spawned the 18 Wheels of Steel franchise, for instance.
Finally, Tropico 4 is still not done with added features. A new batch of downloadable content is available now for $4.99. It’s called Propaganda and fittingly adds Syndicate-esque gameplay with a new building that squashes protests and converts citizens to your cause. As with the previous DLC, there’s also a new trait, an outfit and a new mission available. We have screenshots, because that’s what we do here.
