Konami announced an HD remake for Castlevania – Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate, the game not content with just one subtitle. It was previously a Nintendo 3DS exclusive and only released last year, but that’s enough for the publisher to bring it to Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 31, 2013. It will be a digital release only.
Along with the enhanced visuals and “Boss Rush Mode” included in the side-scrolling game, people who purchase Mirror of Fate HD will get access to a demo for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, coming in winter.
Konami is no stranger to HD remakes, after already taking care of the Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill updates. However, with such a recent title, it’s quite odd to see Castlevania – Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate HD take place, certainly as it was created for the 3DS platform. That’s why Lords of Shadow 2 is a different title altogether. Perhaps there is a market on consoles for a more traditional Castlevania as well. We’d certainly like to think so. do you want to know how Mirror of Fate HD looks like? Sure, you know we got screenshots and stuff.
