It’s finally happened. After providing developers with a low cost way to introduce their games to the world, the Humble people have finally launched a store of their own. This one-stop shop with no currency or fee drawbacks is now offering its first batch of titles and that at a large discount. A total of 9 games are available for purchase, which comes with Steam keys, DRM free downloads and so on. There’s no reason not to take part in this.
The games available are:
- Don’t Starve
- Orcs Must Die! 2 – Complete Edition
- Prison Architect
- Rogue Legacy
- The Swapper
- Natural Selection 2
- Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
- Euro Truck Simulator 2
It’s hard to pick a few discounts from that, but Natural Selection 2 for just $6.25 and Rogue Legacy at $7.49 offer great some great value, if you haven’t picked them up yet. They’re all good draws, however.
More importantly, this central store could finally offer some developer-friendly competition to the corner market that is Steam. As it provides the same keys, plus additional downloads, even Steam purists can take part in it. What’s more: Buying from the Humble Store doesn’t come with an unfair conversion to Euros or Pounds if you’re from Europe. You get to pay what the game’s worth, universally.
