As predicted earlier, the Steam Holiday Sale is raining up deals left and right. In a yearly tradition, users can collect a set of special trading cards, specifically crafted for the winter promotion. We’re here to tell you to sell these right this second, before it’s too late. I would’ve notified you earlier, but I was doing stuff, outside, on the physical planet.
We’re always out to give you tips and hints on how to work with things, because we like you and want the best for you. That’s why we have these words of wisdom for you:
Buy old, sell new.
You see, the market during these sales always crashes slightly or widely, due to a huge influx of new people buying the game and reaping its cards for trade. If the game has been out a while and didn’t sell before, its cards would be pretty high right now, but they will diminish over the course of the sale. Sell those you have. That would look like this.
You’re going to want to complete any highly circulating incomplete sets that are already cheap with the money you make from that. Those will get you a few Snow Globe Steam Trading Cards. Sell these right now. If you’re reading this in two days, I’m afraid you’re probably too late. These are going to plummet, since literally every person is awarded these over the course of the sale. Doing this now gets you in before it tanks at a few cents. At that point, buy them back. Selling these Snow Globes now will look like this.
If you have any rarer items from your yields, they should be flipped now, because they’re also going to appear more frequently. Influx; we’ve talked about this. Anything that is “Foil” or “Rare” drop is worth more now than it will be in a week. My personal haul sucked a lot, but it did get me one Snow Globe foil, which is currently almost nonexistent and works on a limited run regardless. Selling one of those items looks like this.
We thought that giving you a visual of what you could be receiving would be a good incentive to get you going. Please let us know if you got in on the down slope of the crash, before it’s too late. We would love to know if it helped a few souls.
