Publisher Cateia Games has released Tales from the Dragon Mountain 2: The Lair on PC, which they describe as a hidden object puzzle adventure. Even though I personally don’t get it and won’t ever understand the appeal of this genre, a massive amount of people seem dedicated to it, so this one is for you.
In this game, Lord Strix returns to do evil and it’s up to Mina Lockheart to stop this, along with her spirit friend Malik. You’ll collect a varying amount of objects as clues and search high and low through scenes to uncover as many items as you can.
We have some screenshots posted below that should help you get a look at its presentation and inventory system. At the very least, it does seem to have quite the warmly rendered environments with colorful tones. It’s a nice change from the usual dreary illustrations in these games. More of this is welcome.
Additionally, if you purchase Tales from the Dragon Mountain 2: The Lair from the Cateia store, you can get Tales from the Dragon Mountain: The Stirx for a 60% discount. Technically, that game already has a 50% discount, but the slightly added boost is a nice touch.
So far, Tales from the Dragon Mountain 2: The Lair is available on PC only, but Cateia Games has mentioned that it would release on different platforms later.
