It’s not exactly a new release, but Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is finally coming to Europe on March 28, 2014 for Nintendo 3DS exclusively. It’s one of Capcom’s loved traits to mash up franchises, this time with developer Level-5.
In lieu of the release, Nintendo released a new teaser for the localized version. It’s mostly an anime cartoon cinematic of some prelude in the story. We see an aggravated car ride, which eventually leads to a crash and has a cloaked girl fleeing the scene. “Puzzles abound,” it states.
Also, both Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright do their trademark finger pointing thing. Hey, who decided who would get first credit in the title, anyway? I guess Professor Layton gets dibs, due to the sales figures.
Anyway, Nintendo also lobbed in a ton of cool artwork for the game, as well as scenery backgrounds of the locations in the game. From London, the pair of detectives will sleuth their way to the medieval town of Labyrinthia, which is as mystical as it sounds.
We’ll post all the character artwork, screenshots and logos below, for your perusing pleasure.
Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney was originally released in Japan in November of 2012.
