All New 2014 NIS America Game Videos, Screenshots, Art And More

So, along with Nintendo Direct yesterday, NIS America also held a little get together to talk about their plans, which revealed many new games for Europe and North America. If you like Japanese things, be prepared to get a little wet with excitement, because there are a lot of things coming. We’ll have screenshots and everything for each thing too, so this is really the post you want to share with all your Japanese-loving friends.

First off, Battle Princess of Arcadias is your deal, if you enjoy side-scrolling combat action that’s way too frilly and flashy for its own good. It has idyllic locations, very saccharine color schemes and quite the Victorian look. Some of those giant fights also look pretty hectic and we’ll be damned if this doesn’t remind us of Vanillaware’s Odin Sphere. That name drop alone is worth the release, somewhere in 2014 on Playstation 3 (PS3) exclusively through Playstation Network.

Hot off the tail of its first appearance, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair will be joining the lineup on PS Vita in the fall of 2014. In this mysterious game, you’re trapped on an island and murders keep happening. Going through a list of students, you’ll also partake in several odd mini-games to try and discover what the hell is going on. Also, there are debates! Debate me, bro!

For the true strategy fan, the return of the franchise in Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited will be a joy to work through on PS Vita in the summer of 2014. It’s Disgaea; the exemplary title when it comes to totally needless excess in an otherwise pretty static game. There’s a battlefield divided in tiles, you position yourself and unleash devastating attacks in a pretty eclectic selection. This will also include all the downloadable content (DLC) from the PS3 version.

For a purer roleplaying adventure in regular 3D environments, with parties and special attacks and even more flash, you’ll get Fairy Fencer F on PS3 this year. It has character art by people who worked on the Final Fantasy series. That can’t be bad.

Finally, Europe gets to play Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl on Nintendo 3DS as well on May 2, 2014. That’s the same date as some other big Nintendo titles, so we hope that doesn’t let you miss out on some dungeon crawling action.
