Early Access game Dungeon of the Endless has a new update that allows users to pick their heroes before starting their game. We were initially skeptical of that, since it defeats the randomness in the game, but it’s not too bad.
In fact, the Hero Select update is optional. It’s still possible to randomize heroes at the start, it’s just an extra leniency towards users. Moreover, the update comes with some sweet new tunes and a bunch of balancing.
Also, there’s a thing. There’s a trailer that promotes the game, possibly in the oddest way yet this year. Unless you commonly have a pixel pug address you about a game, this is going to raise a brow or two.
At least you get to see just how diverse Dungeon of the Endless is and it is. It’s really diverse. We still love the roleplaying-dungeon-crawler-roguelike-strategy-tower-defense-looting-management-simulation game. It’s on Steam right now, so maybe give it a try.
Dungeon of the Endless is a creation from the makers of Endless Space, who picked up the highest Unity Awards honors for their excellent design. It looks like they’re going for another shot at the gold, one pixel art dog at a time.
