Today on Reddit, we got to see what would happen if the movie world of Studio Ghibli and games would look like combined, if they came alive in the late eighties to early nineties, so not in Ni No Kuni. Instead of beautifully painted scenes from that game, we get presented with a list of pixel art renditions of titles like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and My Neighbor Totoro in /r/movies. User “epicnesshunter” lists the pixel art as 8-bit, but there seems to be some debate about the specifics of that. Regardless, the Studio Ghibli illustrations are too pretty for words. It makes us wish for a Commodore 64 adventure.
