EA Announces New Multiplayer Game “Mech” With Trailer And Screenshots

There was a lot of chatter on the E3 2014 press conference from EA, but apparently it ran out of time to talk about Mech, an ambitious-looking mobile game, built on Unreal Engine 3. It will be published on EA’s acquired Chillingo label and developed by Small Impact Games. Here’s a short trailer of its neat-looking visuals:

Mech, which also bears a dumb “M3ch” title as an alternative, is a third-person shooter with, wait for it, mech titans.  It supports 8 players in multiplayer with custom loadouts and so on. Here’s a neat fact sheet, also including the release window at the end of the year:

Mech actually appeared as far as two years back for studio Small Impact Games, but failed to gain any momentum. A subsequent Kickstarter campaign equally failed to even receive £5000 in funds. With EA and Chillingo at the helm, it looks like this multiplayer feature is about to do a full 180 on its prior luck. EA probably has 5K to splurge somewhere. Finally, because we care, here are some screenshots:
