MXGP Shows New PS4 Version With Model Textures Concept Art

Publisher PQube announced that MXGP – The Official Motocross Videogame will be coming to Playstation 4 this fall. Thereby, developer Milestone sees their second title on the current line of consoles, after MotoGP 14 was already announced.

MXGP will receive a graphical upgrade to sort of wash away the lesser look of its main release. It’s already available on Playstation 3, PS Vita, Xbox 360 and PC, but it’s not exactly late-generation splendor. Then again, the sports title was already proud of just using women in the game; that should be an indication.

Anyway, the PS4 version will have textures that are four times as detailed than the PS3 version. This comes with improved character models and a new lighting system, provided by middleware Yebis 2. Additionally, more riders will be present on the track and the championship leader will now drive with a red license plate, like in the actual competition. Even the PS4 controller lights up in different ways, according to the bike’s RPM.

Moreover, MXGP receives a bit more content. Four new circuits will be available on PS4: Arco di Trento, Sevlievo in Bulgaria, the Czech Loket and Lierop in The Netherlands.

We’ve received some illustrative concepts for bikes and character models in MXGP. It even illustrates some wireframes, ostensibly to display the higher level in model detail. We’ll put those below:
