Publisher Nintendo announced the development of Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones: Thunderflash and Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones: Wildfire for Nintendo 3DS. This twin release will land in Europe on March 27, 2015 as the latest in the long-running franchise.
In this iteration, football player Arion Sherwind discovers that their peers in Raimon Junior High no longer recognize the great football stars of the world. Worse yet, football stadiums in the city have been replaced with baseball fields and no children are occupying themselves with street soccer anymore. What’s the solution to this? Why, Arion travels through time, to rectify this wrongdoing. If only internet arguments could be won this way. For now, we’ll need to stick to altering Wikipedia entries to reflect our own will.
Anyway, both Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones releases will include some new content, such as the ability to perform Minimax moves; which combines two characters’ auras. Athletes can also carry “armourified” Fighting Spirits for further customization. Fighting Spirits can still be summoned to perform illustrious feats, but their range now also includes wrapping players in armors that look straight out of Saint Seiya.
Both Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones versions will have distinct storylines, characters, items and cutscenes. Additionally, characters and items will be available as downloadable content upon release.
Nintendo has sent some character and concept art, which we have made as transparent as possible for graphic artists. No screenshots yet, but expect it to be similar to last year’s release, Inazuma Eleven GO: Light or Shadow.
