It’s only been a few weeks since the Steam release of Bloodbath Kavkaz, the carbon copy of Hotline Miami. With the hype still fresh, it’s now possible to quench some morbid curiosity and get the game for just $3, together with 5 other Steam keys. Online storefront IndieGala is currently holding a weekly bundle with the gory shooter as its prime feature. We’ll have a gameplay commentary, like we used to do for bundle deals, though slightly more off the cuff, viewable below.
Here are all the Steam games in the IndieGala Every Monday Bundle 59:
- Bloodbath Kavkaz
- Doorways: Chapter 3 – The Underworld
- Gunslugs II
- Pirates vs Corsairs: Davy Jones’ Gold
- Witch’s Pranks: Frog’s Fortune Collector’s Edition
Fans of the horror genre can try out Doorways and its dark atmosphere. Gunslugs 2 is a particularly colorful and hectic side-scrolling shooter in old-fashioned Metal Slug style, giant set pieces and all. If you’ve ever wanted to play a rip-off of Pokémon, then Minimon will provide the best dubiously legal experience it can offer. Maybe this week’s bundle theme is shady clones. While Pirates vs Corsairs sports that generic mobile port appearance, it does at least try to diversify the simple strategy game with some varying mini-games. As is customary with these bundles, Witch’s Pranks will take the role of this week’s puzzle adventure.
Is Bloodbath Kavkaz worth your time? It really depends on how you go in on the game. With the full knowledge that this is a significantly worse Hotline Miami with some creative use of the model, then maybe. Plenty of us decided to play Duke Nukem Forever; I don’t think many went in expecting to find any quality in there. Is it going to be a good time? It’s improbable, but entertainment works in many different ways. For more information, make sure to check out our gameplay commentary of Bloodbath Kavkaz below:
